The Road to Wembley begins!

Barring progression through a couple of rounds and an away draw against Combined Counties League side Wembley FC, it is probably unlikely that Tuffley Rovers will see their road to Wembley end in a literal journey to the venue, however Neil Mustoe’s side will hope that the metaphor for 2024/25 will last until at least a second tie, or potentially more, and that will mean a vast improvement on Wednesday evening’s disappointing Hellenic League opener at Sporting Club Inkberrow if they are to overcome the challenge from visitors Kidlington FC on Saturday.

Mustoe hopes to welcome Warren Mann, Mark Pritchett and Macaulay Herbert back into his squad for the visit of Southern League side Kidlington and will also be looking for improvement from those who featured in the 2-0 midweek reverse. His disappointment was evident in his post-match interview after the defeat at Inkberrow, where his side conceded a goal early in each half and were relatively toothless in attack.

If Rovers can find better form and a way past Kidlington they will face the winners of Yate Town and Holyport at Glevum Park in the next round.

KO on Saturday is at 3pm. Admission is £7 standard, £4 concessions and £1 for U16s. Unfortunately, season tickets are not valid for FA Cup ties.

A copy of the official match-day programme is now available online, with printed copies available at the turnstile.
